The Dutch agricultural publisher Misset from Doettinchem and the agricultural publisher Münster have agreed on a close editorial collaboration between the titles Boerderij, Pluimveehouderij, Akkerbouw, Rundvee- and Varkenshouderij published by Misset and the media brands top agrar, Wochenblatt für Landwirtschaft und Landleben, as well as Lebensmittel Praxis published by the Münster agricultural publishing group.

How will the collaboration be organized? In the future, editorial German-Dutch tandems at the departmental level (e.g. crop cultivation, livestock husbandry, and market) will regularly exchange information about market developments, agricultural policy, and innovative production technologies. This way, practical expertise from agriculture in the respective neighboring country will be quickly and purposefully 'transported' to the respective readership.

Why is such cooperation important? Agriculture is strongly connected internationally. Learning from one another is the motto. In this context, looking into neighboring countries is often particularly valuable. How is production carried out there? What new techniques are employed with what success? How are the produced goods marketed? How are EU guidelines implemented in national policies? And how do national governments support their farmers? These are just a few of the many cross-border questions.

What is the goal? 'Farmers in our countries are facing significant challenges. In order to produce high-quality food efficiently while being environmentally and animal-friendly, they need to be optimally informed. Through the intensive exchange between the editorial teams, we will be able to provide farmers in our countries with even more valuable impulses for their work in the future,' emphasizes Erwin van Luit, Managing Director of Misset Uitgeverij BV. Dr. Ludger Schulze Pals, Managing Director of Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster, adds: 'And we will be stronger together. For example, cross-border topics can be researched more intensively together and findings can be published more quickly. Moreover, the close exchange will lead to synergy effects that will make editorial work more efficient.'

In addition to the cooperation now agreed upon, both media houses maintain close contacts with other European agricultural media. The cross-border collaboration will gain even more importance, the publishing executives are convinced.
