AgroHorti Media, part of the Landwirtschaftsverlag group of companies, has expanded its business and acquired the farm management app ‘Greenfield’. The digital applications of the Greenfield app support farmers in their day-to-day operations, for example

  • in inventory and equipment management,
  • in planning and tracking tasks and work progress,
  • in documenting income and expenses, and
  • in monitoring livestock and events such as births, sales or treatments.

Apps such as Greenfield help to increase transparency in operations, minimise errors and create a better basis for decision-making.

Greenfield was founded and developed by the Wilczak siblings – young enthusiasts for agriculture and new technologies who recognised early on the need for a practical tool to support day-to-day farm management. The project began with a module for managing cattle stocks, the main focus of the founders' family business. What makes Greenfield special is that users can contribute suggestions and questions as the app is further developed. This ensures practical relevance and is proving popular, as demonstrated by the growing number of users of the free version and the extended paid version.

‘We will build on this in the future. That's why I'm delighted that the founders and developers of Greenfield are staying on board and will continue to develop Greenfield together with the digital experts at AgroHorti Meda,’ says Adam Paradowski, managing Order of AgroHorti Media, describing the next steps.

‘With “top farmplan” from LV digital in Germany, we have another farm management system in the Landwirtschaftsverlag group of companies. This offers great potential for networking and collaboration. Both “top farmplan” and “Greenfield” will benefit from this,’ say Dr Ludger Schulze Pals and Malte Schwerdtfeger, both managing directors of Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster.
