Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster and LV digital once again receive top ratings

Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster and its subsidiary LV digital are among the best employers in the media industry. This is the conclusion reached by the industry service ‘kress pro’ in its latest employer ranking. For the seventh time since 2019, ‘kress pro’ has published a list of the best employers in the media industry in collaboration with the employer rating platform ‘kununu’. With an overall ‘kununu’ score of 4.59 (out of 5), LV digital GmbH from Münster is in first place - across all media companies - and is therefore the most popular employer in the industry.

'We are very pleased about this, but we are almost even prouder of the assessment of the corporate culture, which at LV digital is 4.7 (out of 5), which is well above the average for media companies. A good work-life balance, good cooperation, the strategic involvement of colleagues and a great willingness to change are important to us as a team,' explain Dr Matthias Weddeling and Marco Laukötter, the two Managing Directors of LV digital. LV digital's leading position in the ‘Digital companies’ group in the individual category ‘Salary and social benefits’ is also remarkable. This is also excellent proof that a first-class corporate culture and excellent salary/benefits go hand in hand.

LV digital was founded ten years ago as a spin-off of Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster and today employs around 75 people.

LV digital's parent company, Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster, also performs very well in the ‘kress pro’ ranking. In the individual category ‘Salary and social benefits’, the publishing house ranked third in the ‘Specialist media’ group with a score of 3.92 (out of 5), which is well above the industry average of 3.18. ‘We are delighted that the employees recognise our efforts. We have an in-house pay scale that is based on the industry pay scale. The top performers - around a third of the workforce - also receive bonuses above the industry pay scale,’ say Malte Schwerdtfeger and Dr Ludger Schulze Pals, the two Managing Directors of Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster, describing the basis for pay.

Landwirtschaftsverlag also offers many other goodies. ‘These include, for example, the family service for childcare and care support, daycare places close to the company, job bikes, job tickets for public transport, company sports, relaxation offers and a variety of socialising events to strengthen team spirit,’ the managing directors list a few examples. All of this is paying off. With an overall score of 4.2, Landwirtschaftsverlag is one of the most popular media companies in Germany. Accordingly, ‘kununu’ has once again (after 2022, 2023 and 2024) awarded the media company and its subsidiary LV digital the ‘Top Company 2025’ seal. The seal is awarded to companies that achieve an overall score of at least 3.8 in the ‘employer attractiveness’ criterion.
