Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster is one of the best employers in Germany

Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster is currently one of the best employers in Germany. The employer evaluation platform kununu has awarded the media house the “Top Company 2023” seal. The seal can be used by companies that achieve at least 3.8 out of 5.0 possible stars for the criterion “attractiveness of the employer”. Currently, the score of Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster on kununu is 4.3. 90% of current or former employees who have submitted a rating recommend Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster.

“We are very pleased to receive the Kununu Company Seal, which is only awarded to the five percent of the most popular employers,” comments Cord Brandes, Human Resources Manager at Landwirtschaftsverlag. This recognises the company's commitment to leadership and human resources development, which is also a significant part of the corporate strategy.

Without a good leadership culture, the implementation of the corporate strategy will not succeed. “We have a clear leadership mission statement, fill management positions only after extensive selection procedures and provide regular training and coaching for managers,” says Brandes.

This claim is also documented in the mission statement of Landwirtschaftsverlag, which reads: “We create optimal framework conditions for our efficient and highly motivated employees”.

Satisfied and motivated colleagues are the key to the company's success and also to the ideas of new business models, which will be increasingly important in the future. “We create the framework conditions for this,” Brandes describes the claim.

One example of this is the LV Idea Forge, which consists of the three formats #Innovatorscamp, LV Connect and “Idea Builder”. #Innovatorscamp regularly invites guests from the start-up scene who deal with topics that are or could be of interest to our business. LV Connect aims to intensify interdisciplinary exchange within the company. The idea builder is an in-house innovation programme into which ideas are fed, tested and, if necessary, realised.

In addition, the publishing house offers day-care places for employees' children in the immediate vicinity of the workplace, support with childcare during holidays and sick leave, a broad-based company health management system and many smaller and larger opportunities to exchange ideas in an informal atmosphere. For example, the women's regulars' table or the after-work get-togethers are popular, where the whole publishing house meets for beer and bratwurst or mulled wine and chips, depending on the season.

The acceptance of employee participation also shows how well colleagues identify with their employer. Every employee who wishes to do so can purchase shares in the publishing house and receive attractive interest in return. In times of low interest rates, this is an attractive capital investment.

“In the end, the overall package has to be right for both sides - for the colleagues as well as for the employer. This is what we strive for and we are convinced that our colleagues make up the success of our companies through their competence, commitment and passion,” say the two managing directors Dr Ludger Schulze Pals and Malte Schwerdtfeger.

Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster sees the award as “Top Company 2023” by kununu as an incentive to further increase the attractiveness of the company for all colleagues and potential applicants.
