Sarah Schnieder, editor-in-chief of the Reiter Revue, deceased

On 4 January 2025, our dear colleague Sarah Schnieder passed away unexpectedly for all of us after a long, serious illness at the age of just 42.

Sarah worked at Landwirtschaftsverlag for more than 15 years, setting journalistic trends and driving forward key editorial developments, particularly in the equestrian media sector. Her great passion was Reiter Revue International, which she shaped and developed in terms of content as a long-standing editor, editorial director and finally as the responsible editor-in-chief. She was a ‘horse woman’ in the best sense of the word and was able to live out her love of horses wonderfully in her role as a journalist. Sarah was very competent and passionate. People active in the equestrian scene appreciated this just as much as her professional colleagues in the editorial offices inside and outside the agricultural publishing house.

Her winning, extremely friendly manner was also a decisive factor. She was very popular among our colleagues. Her combative and always positive attitude during her serious illness was admirable. She never gave up and always found a glimmer of hope on the horizon that she could believe in.

We are all very saddened by Sarah's loss and her death is difficult for us to comprehend. We miss her professionally and personally, and the gap she leaves behind is huge. We will not forget her.
