Jonas Morgenthaler, Benedikt Ernst, Arabelle Stieg and Elisabeth Herzel from ‘essen & trinken’ were in Hamburg to receive the award.
A great success for the ‘essen & trinken’ book ‘Feine Desserts’ (Fine Desserts): on Wednesday evening (26 November), it was awarded the silver medal in the ‘Dessert & Ice Cream’ category at the German Cookbook Awards.
The competition's expert jury said, among other things: ‘Well-known desserts such as tiramisu, crème brûlée and panna cotta are given a little twist, and the many creative new creations ensure that both beginners and advanced cooks will find something to suit their tastes – ten years of Essen & Trinken have produced an impressive collection.’
Every year, a jury of culinary experts awards the German Cookbook Prize to the best cookbooks of the year in over 30 categories.
