The „Together for Ukraine“ fundraising campaign launched by the trade journals top agrar Deutschland, top agrar Polska and top agrar Österreich and supported by the Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster group of companies has already realised over 40 measures and projects in Poland and Ukraine worth more than 140,000 €. Companies and individuals have donated a total of over 176,000 € to date.

„We are continuing to focus on two major areas of action: We support children's hospices, orphanages and other organisations in eastern Poland that specialise in the care and support of children from Ukraine. And we supply emergency power generators and food to Ukraine,“ explains top agrar Polska editor-in-chief Karol Bujoczek. „Doctors' surgeries, schools, hospitals and other public facilities urgently need generators, as the power is constantly failing due to the constant attacks on the grid infrastructure,“ says Bujoczek, describing the current situation.

In Poland, we supply almost 1,500 people in the Lublin area, mostly mothers with children, senior citizens and people with disabilities. In addition, the Lviv Chamber of Agriculture (Lviv, Ukraine) has now taken delivery of 16 emergency power generators and passed them on to people in need in Ukraine. „In this way, we can ensure the basic supply of electricity in many elementary facilities. We would like to thank all those responsible at Caritas in Poland, the Lublin Chamber of Agriculture as well as the rural women and farmers for their great commitment on the ground. Without this ongoing support, we would not be able to take such a targeted approach,“ says Karol Bujoczek with conviction.

„The aid continues. And we are grateful to all donors and our partners at Caritas and in rural areas,“ say Guido Höner and Matthias Schulze Steinmann, editors-in-chief of top agrar, who are delighted with the great commitment of everyone involved. „Almost all of the money reaches the people in need because everyone involved uses the donations sparingly and only five per cent is used for the administration of the funds at Caritas in Poland.“ The Landwirtschaftsverlag group of companies has currently provided a further 5,000 € for the top agrar campaign „Together for Ukraine“.

Anybody who would like to help in the future is welcome to do so. „Every donation helps,“ say Höner and Schulze Steinmann.
