This year, Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster is supporting the construction of the 'Pelikanhaus' at Clemenshospital and the 'MitmachKinder' project of the Bürgerwaisenhaus foundation with its traditional Christmas donation of €2,500 each. 'For us, solidarity and social responsibility also means looking to the right and left and helping those who need help and supporting exemplary initiatives,' emphasized Managing Directors Dr Ludger Schulze Pals and Malte Schwerdtfeger when handing over the donations to Martina Kreimann (MitmachKinder) and Dr Martina Klein (Fundraising Alexianer) at Landwirtschaftsverlag on 19 December.

The 'MitmachKinder' project enables children from low-income families to take part in sports, music and cultural activities outside of school. 'The children can develop their language, musical and sporting skills. This boosts their self-confidence, prevents exclusion and promotes the personal development of disadvantaged children,' says Martina Kreimann, describing the impact of the project.

The Pelikanhaus gives families of seriously ill children who have to be treated at Clemens Hospital over a longer period of time a temporary home in the immediate vicinity of the hospital. 'This helps everyone, the patients, who know their parents and siblings are close by, and the relatives, who have a private retreat to recharge their batteries and take a deep breath,' says Dr. Martina Klein, explaining the aims of the 'Pelikanhaus'. This is the second time that Landwirtschaftsverlag has supported this important project.

'We have been doing without customer gifts at Christmas for years. The money is much better spent in the 'Pelikanhaus' or with the 'MitmachKindern',' Dr. Ludger Schulze Pals is convinced. 'On behalf of the entire workforce, we would like to thank our business partners for their understanding and for the wonderful cooperation. We wish everyone a peaceful Christmas and a successful 2024,' says Malte Schwerdtfeger.
