LV Akademie makes your staff fit for the future

Support with personnel selection, personality and management development

Are you looking for solutions to prepare your staff for the growing challenges of the future? Then you may be interested in the programme offered by the LV Akademie of Landwirtschaftsverlag Münster in cooperation with Karrero, the job portal of top agrar. The publishing house is now opening its comprehensive internal recruiting and personnel development programme to interested companies from outside. The modular programme supports you in the selection of personnel and in personality and management development.

‘Our programme is of particular interest to companies in the agricultural, food and rural sectors. ‘We have a special understanding of the personnel requirements of companies from the entire value chain because, as an agricultural publishing house, we are active in these areas ourselves,’ says Cord Brandes, Head of the LV Academy and responsible HR Manager at Landwirtschaftsverlag, describing the special expertise of the LV Academy.

‘As a business partner, we advise managing directors, managers and employees, teams and departments at all company levels on individual and area-related training and further education,’ adds Matthias Karliner, personnel and organisational developer at Landwirtschaftsverlag and freelance mediator and business coach. ‘Interested parties can book individual modules or the full programme as required,’ says Cord Brandes, explaining the LV Akademie menu.

The offer consists of a total of five areas: personnel selection, personality and management development as well as preparation for the trainer aptitude test and other customised further training offers. ‘In personnel selection, we define, design and organise the job requirements for and with the respective company and the selection process as part of an assessment centre. The results are recorded in a standardised assessment profile, which enables a reliable selection and provides applicants with qualified feedback,’ says Brandes, describing the services.

Employees expect ‘their’ company to provide them with the best possible support in coping with complex work processes on a day-to-day basis. ‘Personal development is more than just learning new skills or setting goals. It's also about coming to terms with your own strengths and weaknesses. We provide support with training, workshops and coaching,’ says Matthias Karliner, giving an insight into the personal development programmes on offer.

As part of the management development programme, the LV Academy supports participants in the transition from specialist to management responsibility. ‘A good manager has a clear role model and knows the most important tools for good leadership,’ says Cord Brandes, succinctly describing the aims of the four-part development programme. Ideally, participants in the programme should first complete a leadership check to see where their individual potential and deficits lie. This has convinced the Raiffeisenverband Westfalen-Lippe, which has already tested the programme with its own employees: ‘The leadership check is very well structured and the results are documented in a comprehensible and convincing manner.’ The programme can be built on, says RVWL Managing Director Klaus Lehmkuhl.

Training is becoming increasingly important in the competition for good employees. The LV Akademie has a special offer for companies that train or want to train in the future. ‘We will prepare you for the trainer aptitude test in accordance with the Trainer Aptitude Ordinance (AEVO). This will equip you to retain young people in your company,’ says Matthias Karliner, pointing out the potential.

Companies that have additional needs can develop and implement customised training programmes together with the LV Akademie and our partner Port One Academy from Haltern am See. ‘This includes topics such as shaping change, resolving conflicts, successful negotiation, rhetoric and moderation training and much more,’ says Cord Brandes, outlining the programme.
